Build me a son

Build me a son, O Lord, who will be strong enough to know he is weak, and brave enough to face himself when he is afraid, one who will be proud and unbending in honest defeat, and humble and gentle in victory.” – Douglas MacArthur

You may have noticed that I’ve been away from blogging for a month and a half.  I’m ready to reveal the reason why.

I’m expecting my fourth child, a son, and I’ve been too terribly tired these past several weeks to do much more than my usual routine of working full-time, raising three young children, caring for my husband and home, and raising money for a community project that is nearing completion.

My new year’s resolution is to return to my blogging routine because I’ve got lots to share with you and I love our exchanges of ideas.

2014 is set up to be the year when true leaders emerge or the systems we rely on suffer.  I look forward to being here with you as you lead boldly in 2014.  Together, we can drive the change we want to see in the world.
