Here’s where I’ll try to explain the mapping coordinate system that I got so excited about just before Thanksgiving 2009. In my excitement I rushed to file a provisional patent.

Here’s the link to the provisional patent application.

It’s not a read for a faint of heart.  Yes, my method does include vectors. Yes, I’m trying to make the explanation simpler.

For now, enjoy the link, such as you can and I’ll fill in the rest as we go.

9 August 2010 Note: Since Nov 2009 I’ve learned the difference between a categorization model and a sense-making model and therefore need to modify how I represent the coordinate system as I intend it to be a sense-making device not a categorization framework.  I haven’t made those changes in the posted draft though, so if you read through it, please consider that difference. Thanks! V/r – April

    April,
Thanks for the sharing for the short time I had with you on Sunday. You are very insightful and interesting to share ideas with. I have told a shorter version of your story about the native peoples on the south pacific island during WWII to some friends and family, but of course I didn’t do it justice. Regardless everyone loved that story! You said that you have more info on this website somehwere? I looked but couldn’t find it. I am sure you told me how to find it but I didn’t get it I guess. Thanks again and I look forward to seeing you soon!

    Pat

Pat – It was great to see you too. We need to do those meet-ups more often.
